I am so happy I found Buck and Doe’s. After a dog attack in my neighborhood, I decided it was time to get my license to carry. The process was so smooth. I took the online class through Buck and Doe’s and then signed up for the proficiency test at their facility. Being a new gun owner with little experience and up in age, I was a little nervous and intimidated to take the test. The instructor Ron Benton was so encouraging, kind, informative and made the test a pleasant experience.

I took the beginner’s course on 08/04/2023. The instructor, Ron, was very informative, funny, and direct. He let us get comfortable with a 22 handgun in the classroom before taking us to the range. We could only shoot ten rounds, which I felt was not enough to get comfortable shooting on my own. The staff are helpful, the indoor range is excellent, and the store has something for everyone.

I bought private archery lessons for my family for Christmas, we had such a great time! Both Attila and Alena were great instructors who made us feel very comfortable and taught all of us how to properly use a recurve bow. If you are interested in Archery or just looking for a great place to practice, I highly reccomend Bucks and Does. We will definately be back again!

I’ll first say that I have a previous relationship with Will, Rob and Corey. My loyalty to them is the only reason I would drive from almost in Castroville to B&D’s…even though I love the place. Will has worked on my bow and also built arrows for me a couple of times. He’s always great to work with. However, I went in last Saturday with a bit of an emergency and none of my guys were there. Instead, I worked with Jonathan. Jonathan listened to my needs, spent time getting my bow fixed and set back up the way I asked him to. He was professional, kind and efficient. Just another great bow technician at B&D’s trying to get me to keep making the long drive with great customer service and attention! I guess they all deserve a raise! But seriously, when your team goes above and beyond to give the highest level of customer service, and to build relationships with customers, that’s the key to continued success. If you have a great product, but treat your customers poorly, you’ll loose 10 out of 10 times! Treat them right, and you win, even if you occasionally drop the ball!

My daughter had a lesson with Ron last week. We had been to the range before for practice, but having a lesson with Ron far surpassed our expectations. He was engaged, patient, and made the entire hour super fun for her, challenging her in creative ways we never thought of. Worth every penny!

This is the place to go for all your firearm needs. Friendly and knowledgeable staff that always answers all of your questions. Buck and Does has consistently earned our business and will do for years to come. Ron gave my wife and I a great lesson by teaching us solid safety and accuracy fundamentals. Highly recommend for anyone new to guns and wants to learn the basics. Even took the time to prep us for our license to carry class. Give them a try! Five enthusiastic stars for first class service.

A great place to learn and hone firearm marksmanship! My husband and I went there for a private lesson on handgun basics and our instructor was friendly, attentive and always there to correct and refine our techniques. We had a blast and will definitely be coming back again for more range time!
