SHOOTING 101 WOMEN ONLY COURSE

This course is designed to give participants an entry level understanding of handguns and how to utilize them in self-defense situations. Students practice the four rules of firearms safety, shooting range etiquette, and the other shooting techniques.

The curriculum is divided into four modules and includes classroom and range time. Each participant will receive a copy of Michael Martin’s book Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals. Do I need my own gun or ammunition?

No. Buck & Doe’s Mercantile has firearm rentals, ammunition, hearing protection, targets, and eye protection. First-time shooters can rest assured we will take care of all your needs, so you enjoy your first experience at an indoor shooting range to the fullest. Everything we do has your safety in mind.

Do you offer classes?

Yes! We love introducing people to this great sport. Learn everything you need to know to have a fun and memorable experience with our friendly, hands-on classes, led by certified instructors.

Will I be able to shoot during my first visit?

Absolutely. We make certain all of our new shooters are comfortable and learn how to properly handle firearms. We have a great team ready to help you get started.

All of our firing lanes are well-lit and kept comfortable with our advanced ventilation system. With fast electronic retrievable systems for your targets, our shooting range is equipped to elevate your experience to the next level of fun. Our interactive electronic system puts you in control of setting distances, turns, and choosing programs for an awesome shooting experience.

Do you offer one-on-one instruction?

Schedule a private lesson by clicking on the “CLASSES” tab and sign up today. For only $99 you’ll get 1-hour of personalized instruction, the rental gun of your choice, a target and rental eye and ear protection. Ammunition is an additional fee.

A Few Words from Our First-Time Shooters

It was my first time (as a European) on a shooting range. Needed help with everything as I didn’t know anything about firearms. The registration was very easy. Enter your own data on the tablet, enter your ID, and that’s it. Then which weapon to choose? Basically any weapon was allowed for me. The first time I shot was with a machine gun and then with a pistol. The employees on site were very patient with me and explained everything to me and then helped me at the shooting range for 5 minutes until I understood it. My wife was able to film and take photographs at any time. If you’re a non-American and want to shoot for the first time, you’re in good hands here. In the end we paid around $120, without a tip 😉

Ron and Don are amazing! I went in to purchase my first firearm and was nervous but they both showed me a selection of Glocks I was interested in buying. I was given a flyer on the membership prices so I could get the most discounts I was asking about before I decided to make a purchase. Ron worked with me for over a hour, rented me a Glock 19, got me range ammo, hearing & eye protection, and a target. He walked me thru how to take apart the firearm, handling it, loading/unloading, and more tips/tricks before I even got into the range. I felt completely comfortable having him assist me. The first time I shot I scored a 246/250 all because of the tips and ticks he recommend. He mentioned I do some research online and a few days later I came back and purchased a new Glock 45. Today, 06/06/2020 I completed the Texas License to Carry course and had Ron as my instructor. He was very informative and explained all the information perfectly. If it was not for Ron and Don I would probably never came back to Buck and Does. These two brothers are who I ask for anytime I have any questions or need assistance. Thank you both for everything!
